  • Small rural club.

Gems is located in a small former dairy farm unit and is the sole occupant of the site. The location, whilst around a quarter of a mile away from the A303, is very rural, down a no through road and can be tricky to find! This does, however, mean that it is also not over looked.
The club is open on Saturdays and occasional Wednesday day times. It is LGBT friendly so not being overlooked is a bonus for those who like to come dressed. Dress code is smart dress for the lounge, dress down everywhere else although most if not all seem to dress down anyway!
The club has two large lockable rooms, dark room, glory holes, hot tub (which on the occasion of my visit was set at 38 degrees) and an area curtained off from the lounge. It is BYOB but food and non alcoholic drinks are available.
Entrance to all is subject to acceptance by e.mail.
In the past, Gems had a reputation for allowing smoking anywhere in the club. This has since been addressed and a dedicated, covered smokers area has been set up outside.
On my visit on a Wednesday after noon, there was a more mature attendance but I think that because the club has such a wide catchment area, there will always be a good crowd!
There is plenty of parking and a grass area for those who may wish to stay overnight.
